I have been thinking a lot lately about how much I care about people I have never met (especially children) and I started thinking about doing foster care. My main concern is that the foster carer has to be involved with the child?s parents and family and if the child is in foster care in the first place then doesn?t that mean that there was something not right with their parents? Basically I have stayed away from people who do drugs, are violent, are fowl mouthed or have any characteristics that I feel could become a danger to my family (especially my 2 year old daughter) and I am worried about having contacts with people who might be like this. Maybe I am just paranoid but most people are murdered by somebody they know and I suppose a drug addict parent who needs money isn?t really someone I want to associate with? What do you think about it?

hi, my mom was in foster care and i was put into her hands at the age of three she had about 12 kids living in this house already pluse the 4 that she gave birth to, you may have to deal with alot of stuff that you don?t want to deal with but there is a way that you could review the parents back ground and see why the child is being placed in a foster care home?

your home will be looked over to see if you have enough room and are in good health to keep the child also watch out for some children that are being placed in a home for good, usually some of these child- care workers don?t have the heart to be nice to the kid and pretend like this is going to be along sleep over they will just say to the kid ? we are going to take you away from you parents for good?

i was about 5 i remember the day well when that lady came and said that she was taking me away from my parents, i was never a right kid after that i was shy didn?t trust anyone so yeah you should really think long and hard on this because once there in your home and you keep them then the hard parts always come and you never know what to expect from any of it
